Tucker, what's your best guess here? Has he become and outright bad actor or is there some quasi-sympathetic reading of this that isn't as bad as it seems?

I can't help being quasi sympathetic, because I think overall they've had a good* influence on public discussions of the subject of health and nutrition.

* good = pretty much agrees with my opinions ;)

I'm guessing he's just gotten bad information from who knows where, and hasn't done his own homework. It's a recipe for advocating other unscientific positions...

Thanks for the dissection. I'm still inclined to view Calley and Casey Means as having an overall positive message, which broadly speaking coincides with what I have learned, but I had never looked into the historical details like this.

I've watched two or three long interviews with them and my biggest complaint is their fire-hose verbal delivery. My 70-year-old ears have trouble keeping up.
